For designers and contractors
Electrician, general contractor or designer? We take on the smart home part: we design it, program it, hand it over and, if the client wants, monitor it too.
A smart home works well when you know at the wiring stage what goes into the walls. That’s why we like to get involved as early as possible: in the design, the specification and the preparation of the installation. We can work as a subcontractor on your project, or under your name.
How we can help
Smart home alongside the electrician
You do the wiring and the installation, we add the smart home: we prepare the concept, the device list, the distribution board and wiring diagrams, then program, test and hand over the system. We typically work with Shelly Pro modules, Computherm heating control, TP-Link Omada networking and a Home Assistant-based hub.
Concepts for designers
Already at the design stage, aligned with the building services plans, we prepare the smart home concept: the device list, the cabling scheme, and the space needed for the distribution boards and the rack. This way the electrical design includes the smart functions from the start.
Under your name: offer and documentation
As the main contractor, you run the project with the client. For the smart home part, we prepare the offer and the technical documentation with your branding and company details.
Low voltage for developers
In apartment buildings and hotels we design and build the complete low-voltage system: network, intercom, metering and billing.
How we work together
Kick-off
You send us the floor plan or the drawings, and we discuss what the client wants and what your role will be in the project.
Concept and specification
We prepare the concept, the device list and the cabling and wiring specification you can install from.
Installation
You do the cabling and fit the wiring devices according to the specification. If questions come up, we sort them out together.
Commissioning and handover
We program and test the system, then hand it over to the client with the same handover documentation as on our own projects.
Monitoring
If the client wants, we keep monitoring, backing up and updating the system with Yabune Service packages.
Good to know for the installation
We’ve collected what to watch out for when a smart home goes into a house: boxes, conduits, distribution boards, cabling. A few of the rules:
- main runs need conduit of at least 32 mm, while runs carrying only UTP or coax need at least 25 mm;
- low voltage (DC 12–24 V, coax, UTP) always runs in a separate conduit from 230 V;
- only one relay behind each wall box;
- stranded wire is better for the connections.
Manufacturers and suppliers
We are an official partner of Shelly and DSC, we regularly work with Computherm devices, and MarketCom is our supplier partner.
