How we work
From the first conversation to support after handover: how a Yabune project runs, step by step.
A smart home doesn’t start with the installation, and it doesn’t end at handover. Every project of ours follows the same seven steps, so you always know where we are, what comes next and what you get at the end. The images below show documents made for a fictional sample house; we never publish real clients’ data.
Consultation
Tell us what you’re planning: building a new house, renovating, or making an existing home smart. We get back to you and arrange a meeting online or on site. We talk through your goals, the property and what is really worth doing.
Concept and design
Based on the consultation we write the smart home concept: what the system will control, with which devices, and where cables are needed. It comes with a device list and a cabling diagram. We design the network separately: where the Wi-Fi access points go and what coverage each room will get. Where a choice has to be made, we mark it in the plan and decide together with you.

Sample: network plan of a fictional house, with a Wi-Fi coverage map. Quote
Based on the concept you receive an itemised quote, with devices, labour and the operating options on separate lines. If you accept it, work starts when the order form is signed.
Preparation
A good smart home starts with good preparation. For new builds and renovations we specify which cable, box and distribution point goes where, so the electrician can work from it already at the shell stage. We purchase the devices once the order form is signed, and the installation date depends on when the preparation is complete.
Installation
We install and commission the devices, build the network and then set up the automations. The network configuration follows the plan, and after each step we check that every device is in place and works as it should.

During installation. Handover
At handover we walk you through the system, show you the mobile app and everyday use, and make a backup of the system. Documentation is part of the handover:
- installation and handover document: what went into the house, where and with what settings, including the network port assignment (which cable connects where);
- user manual: how to use the system and how to report a fault.
We also record the handover in writing. For 30 days after handover we fine-tune the system free of charge if you’d like to change something based on everyday use.

Sample: installation and handover document and user manual for a fictional house. Monitoring and support
We don’t disappear after handover. With the Yabune Service packages we monitor your system during business hours, make regular backups, and test updates before applying them. From the moment you report a fault, we start investigating it within 72 hours in the Advanced package and within 24 hours in the Premium package. The first month is free.
