Zsófi and Péter were expecting their first child when they decided they wanted to prepare their home as much as possible for the baby's arrival. They were curious about how an automated smart home, along with the little bunny and the big teddy bear, could help create the ideal environment.
Initially, they were a little uncertain about the options, but eventually we started planning with this wish list:
- Creating the safest and healthiest possible environment for baby and mother (and of course father) during pregnancy and the postpartum period

The first step was to survey the apartment. Since we couldn't plan any renovation work, we built almost entirely on wireless modules.

The lighting is IKEA Tådfri and the Yabune Home Smart Home combination, it can be set from any room in the apartment and even remotely, so you can turn off the light you forgot to leave on in the living room while putting it to sleep or bathing it, or even while shopping. The ideal environment for sleeping after the evening story can be set in the children's room and bedroom with one click.
We measure the consumption of each device with smart plugs, which are equipped with child safety plugs.
To make the night shift easier, we recommended installing a smart formula maker that, when started from the bedroom, prepares water at the optimal temperature and quantity. By the time Péter gets to the kitchen, he just needs to mix the formula powder and it's done. Thanks to the voice-controlled multimedia center, the Alma band provides background music for putting him back to sleep. But only softly.
